Amended January 2025
INTRODUCTION
The Indoor Air Quality Association (hereinafter “IAQA”) owns numerous trademarks, some of which are registered, on its distinctive logos (hereinafter “the Logo,” “the Logos,” the “IAQA Logo,” or the “IAQA Logos”). As a result of IAQA's long-standing and extensive use of these Logos, they have become a recognized symbol of the association's high-quality goods and services. The Logos constitute one of IAQA's most valuable assets.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure proper use of the IAQA Logos by the association's members, affiliates, partners, sponsors, and other authorized entities. It outlines IAQA's rules for use of the Logos along with explanations and examples of proper usage. By complying with these rules, you help IAQA maintain its established brand and reputation.
In order to preserve consumer confidence in IAQA membership, the use of logos without membership year(s) is no longer allowed.
GENERAL RULES GOVERNING ALL USES OF THE IAQA LOGOS
Members in good standing may utilize the IAQA logo designed for their membership category and term for the sole purpose of identifying themselves as a member of the IAQA, within the restrictions defined herein:
Member IAQA Logos may not be used in any manner that conveys or implies IAQA's endorsement, sponsorship or approval of a member's specific programs, activities, company, products or services.
Member IAQA Logos shall not imply that the user is in any way an authorized agent of IAQA.
The IAQA Member Logo must be reproduced true to the original from IAQA-supplied graphics, separate and distinct from other marks and copy.
Unauthorized use of the IAQA logo may constitute fraud, and the IAQA may employ legal means to cease such usage. Membership shall be revoked or denied for unauthorized use and/or misuse of the IAQA logo in violation of these terms.
Members may not use any version of the IAQA logo without membership category and year(s) unless expressly authorized in writing by the Executive Director.
Corporate Members
Corporate Members may use the IAQA Corporate Member Logo on their company website, company social media, emails, business cards, stationery, invoices, statements, vehicle signage, billboards, signs and promotional items. The IAQA logo must include the Corporate Member designation and year(s) of membership as provided by the IAQA.
Individual / Student / Government Members
Individual, Student, and Government Members may use the IAQA Individual, Student or Government Member Logo on individual business cards, individual company pages (eg. if the member is both the owner and principal employee of the company, or next to an individual biography), individual social media pages, work vehicle driven solely by the member, personal email, and stationary. The IAQA logo must include the appropriate Member designation and year(s) of membership as provided by the IAQA.
Individual, Student, and Government Members may not use the IAQA logo on their company website, invoices, statements, vehicle signage, billboards, signs or promotional items unless they are the sole owner and employee of the company. This benefit is otherwise restricted to Corporate Members.
LOGO USE AGREEMENT
I have read and understand the IAQA Logo Policy Rules above, and agree to abide by all rules. In addition, I agree to the following:
If my membership or authorization ends, I must immediately stop using the IAQA Logo or any similar name, mark, or design.
I acknowledge that IAQA exclusively owns the Logo and will not challenge this ownership.
I agree to follow any additional rules set by IAQA regarding Logo use.
I recognize that the Logo is a valuable asset of IAQA, and its use benefits IAQA and impacts the Logo’s value.
If any portion of this policy is deemed unenforceable, the other terms remain in force.
