This seminar will be a highly engaging online experience designed to help Collaborative Practice professionals deepen conflict management skills, strengthen communication, and improve teamwork across all disciplines. Led by internationally recognized Collaborative lawyer, mediator, and educator Jacinta Gallant, the program invites participants to explore how personal values, professional roles, and team dynamics all shape the way collaborative cases unfold. Through interactive presentations, small-group discussions, role-play exercises, and independent learning, attendees will examine the real-world challenges of interdisciplinary teamwork — including defensiveness, misinterpretation, and the often-unspoken dynamics that impact progress — while discovering practical tools to support more meaningful dialogue with both colleagues and clients.
Over five weekly sessions beginning mid-January, participants will learn to better notice and respond to conflict behaviors, leverage curiosity to calm tension, and build agreements tailored to each family's unique needs. By the end of the series, professionals will be equipped to support healthier case outcomes and contribute more confidently to a cohesive, high-functioning team — delivering on the transformative promise of Collaborative Practice.
This program includes both full-group learning and discipline-specific sessions for mental health professionals, as well as lawyers and financial professionals. These focused sessions allow for deeper discussion of the unique contributions and challenges each discipline brings to the Collaborative process, helping to strengthen mutual understanding across the team.
